Here’s how it works —>
Ways to travel
-
For those that know a road trip is the best way to fully experience a country, we suggest travelling by road! This is also the most sustainable option and allows for more quality time in Uganda, seeing different parts you wouldn’t get if you just flew everywhere.
-
We know some travellers may not have the time for a long road trip, or due to personal reasons, you may not be able to spend long hours in a vehicle at any time. If that’s you, we suggest flying to the various spots. Note that planes are small propeller planes between most destinations.
-
If you don’t mind the road but also want to experience a flight across the African plains, we can always do a mix of road and plane travel.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Kaia
“We loved having our own private tour which we could tailor to what we wanted to see and do. Claudine gave grea insights and organised unique cultural and coffee trips which go beyond a standard safari in Africa. I truly felt like I got a real, authentic experience of Uganda that also gave back to community members.”

Claudine is one of those rare people who combine a passion for the beautiful place she calls home, the Kisoro region of SW Uganda, with her knowledge of the communities that live there. She has been an advocate for supporting women coffee farmers that live and farm in the Bwindi Forest region, home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Besides helping them grow the best arabica specialty coffee, which provides much needed income that helps deter any poaching of gorillas and other forest animals, she now has introduced eco-tourism to visitors who want an authentic experience of this region’s community that incorporates village life culture, gorilla conservation activities, gorilla trekking, and safaris to Uganda’s premier National Parks. Caldera Tourism provides a wonderful opportunity to visit and become immersed in the beauty of the people and the land. If you love coffee and would like to see how your love of animals can contribute to helping to keep their habitats safer, then this type of “travel with a purpose” – something I’ve always enjoyed, is perfect for you. This is my fourth trip that involves touring with Claudine, and each time, I find new places to visit and continue to see magnificent animals and meet amazing people. 5 stars to Claudine and her team.
