Meet Claudine
Welcome! Meet Claudine - director of Caldera Coffee & Tours. Claudine grew up in the South-West of Uganda in Kisoro, where her love for coffee started. Working in coffee quality control, Claudine quickly rose to the top of a social enterprise coffee company, empowering women and local farmers to improve their livelihood. It was through the work of coffee that Claudine found a new interest in the world of tourism, and bringing people together for meaningful experiences.
For coffee & community
Caldera Coffee & Tours sprang from a place where coffee and community united to bring people together. It was through a love of coffee, and bringing coffee lovers together to Uganda, that Caldera Coffee & Tours was formed. Whilst coffee brought people to Uganda, the people, the community, the mountain gorillas, all other amazing animals, and the beautiful landscape made people stay….
Now, we work with local coffee farmers alongside experienced tour operators and drivers to bring our community a truly unique and bespoke experience. Combining coffee, tourism, and community initiatives is where the Caldera difference comes in.
So, if you’re looking for someone to show you all that Uganda has to offer, and to connect with locals and community in a meaningful way, you have come to the right place at Caldera Coffee & Tours.
Why Caldera Coffee & Tours?

In male dominant industries, we strive to empower women in tourism and coffee to improve quality of life and to provide independence to women across Uganda. Being female-founded, we love working with female coffee farmers and female operators as much as we can.
Socially responsible
‘Tours that care’ is our slogan for a reason - we care about our impact and how what we do can empower others. Our tours are designed with ethical practices that and support wildlife conservation. The community and coffee tours we run aim to provide socio-cultural and economic benefits so that we may improve lives through these initiatives.
